Nah..I think it is a simplier answer.

Couple of things to check.  Verify that nscd is *not* running.
And then grab the clear_cache.sh script from
http://git/likewisesoftware.com/~gcarter/lwopen/ and run that
as root.  I clears the log files and tdb cache files.

The retest the new bits.

Finally, if thigs are still screwy, send me another batch of level
10 debug logs.
