I have some more info:

1) Yes, I ran as root and hostname returns QC-MAC01
2) /var/logs/system.log shows:
Unable to determine CPSProcessSerNum pid:980 lwinet logged to /Library/logs/CrashReporter/libnet.crash.log
3) /Library/logs/CrashReporter/libnet.crash.log shows:
Link (dyld) error:
dyld /opt/centris/bin/lwinet Undefined Symbols:
	_fgetxattr
	_flistxattr
 	_fremovexattr
	...
