Sorry for my lack of expertise.
I'm familiar with Windoze method of joining.  There, for example, hosts
in my domain have FQDN, like shephard.ieor.berkeley.edu.
When i join to the campus AD, I specify "campus.berkeley.edu" which also
has it's own FQDN.

 > nslookup shephard.ieor.berkeley.edu
Name:   shephard.ieor.berkeley.edu
Address: 128.32.192.74

 > nslookup campus.berkeley.edu
Name:   campus.berkeley.edu
Address: 128.32.68.6
 So, both addresses are correct.  I may be off the track, but how do I
tell Likewise protocol to tell campus AD to use the
shephard.ieor.berkeley.edu as the "Computer DNS Name"?
