[Likewise-open-discuss] LW Open UID/GID mapping Clarification

Just so we are on the same page. How does UID and GID mapping work with LW
Open and Active Directory


Is this a correct statement

if we set the following in Server A and Server B's lwiauthd.conf file

idmap uid = 11000-130000
idmap gid = 11000-130000


And then I log on to Server a as user foo I'll get a UID and GID assigned to
me(let's say 11001:11001)

If I log on to box b as user foo will I get the same UID and GID?

The reason I ask is becuase if it's not the same then ownership assignments
are all screwed up if your attempting to keep uid and gid's the same across
the environment.

Can we get clarification?
