Hi Jerry,
I installed the new 4.1 version this morning. But, i still get the same
error: [Error code: 0008000e]
Here is the info from --preview command:
root at shephard bin]# ./domainjoin-cli join --preview campus.berkeley.edu
Joining to AD Domain: campus.berkeley.edu
With Computer DNS Name: shephard.campus.berkeley.edu
The following stages are currently configured to be run during the domain join:
hostname - set computer hostname
join - join computer to AD
lwiconf - configure lwiauthd.conf
krb5 - configure krb5.conf
nsswitch - enable/disable Likewise nsswitch module
start - start daemons
bash - fix bash prompt for backslashes in usernames
pam - configure pam.d/pam.conf
ssh - configure ssh and sshd
It has the wrong DNS name, shephard*.campus*.berkeley.edu*.*
It should be shephard.*ieor.*berkeley.edu which is what is in my
/etc/hosts file.
(I did use the join --nohosts switch with no success.)
Thanks for any ideas.
Jay
P.S. I was told by your colleague, Rafal, to put the acct. name in
quotes which seems to work.
