[Likewise-open-discuss] domain users added to sudoers list, but....

When logged into the computer as a domain user, many of my items in systemàpreferences and systemà administration are missing, such as synaptic, Users and Groups, Time and Date, Restricted Drivers, etc. 

 

Any idea what's causing that, and how that can be fixed? This is Ubuntu 7.10, by the way.
